BEC Business Cluster held their first #hybrid event since the lifting of Covid restrictions.

What a great meeting it was, chaired with warmth, energy and efficiency by the new CEO Dianne Richardson. Woe betide any of us who have attempted to stray over the three minute egg-timer in the 3×3 slot!

The meeting was packed full of great presentations and plenty of time to catch up with people in the excellent and well ventilated Energus. The new audio-visual set up for hybrid meetings is outstanding.

I have never doubted the value of being a member of BECBC, even when I had to question every “expense” during the challenges of Covid. However this event was a great reminder that, even as a very small business (well it’s basically just me!), the benefits are tangible in so many different ways. It’s so positive to learn from like-minded professional and friendly people, and to hear about opportunities in Cumbria.

Oh and perhaps more than anything…. it’s a chance for a great craic with friends and associates. It definitely felt like time well spent – my wellbeing boosted, motivation increased, and a sense that some positive normality has returned. Looking forward to the next one at fabulous Energus….
